Requirements
- Light's Vigil learned; source first-learning level 40.
- Select Light's Vigil in Holy with a legal allocation (31 tree points including rank 1). Requires Holy Shock at rank 1.
- Check the allegiance of your mouseover before pressing; an enemy mouseover takes priority over a friendly current target.
- Do not rely on the Alt self branch until Light's Vigil self-target eligibility is confirmed in the client.
Known limitations
- Not tested in the Forever client. Source beta names, acquisition and behaviour may change.
- English spell names only. Spell IDs identify source ranks; unqualified casts use the learned rank selected by the client.
- The first matching unit wins. An out-of-range or obstructed mouseover does not fall through to your target.
- Keep the documented modifier bindings free. This key does not check whether a spell is learned or off cooldown and does not choose an alternative after failure.
- Light's Vigil sets up a subsequent Holy Shock; the follow-up requires another keypress and the actual spell. It does not automatically cast Holy Shock.
- The cast spell's inspected sources establish allied and hostile recipients but do not prove self-target eligibility. The preserved Alt branch is an unverified attempt, not a confirmed self-cast feature.
- The follow-up Holy Shock must reach the intended Light's Vigil recipient. This macro prioritizes an enemy mouseover over a friendly target; paladin-hybrid-holy-shock ignores enemy mouseover, so the two keys can select different units.
- Only the hostile Light's Vigil effect has the source-recorded mana refund; do not assume the allied effect refunds mana.
Notes
- All-class expansion researched 27 September 2026. Actual learned spells, selected talents and other requirements control use; a recommended spec name does not grant abilities.
- Ability metadata adapted from Talents Forever / Chris Baldwin, https://talentsforever.com, CC BY 4.0. Original macro design and summaries by Allegedly Skilled.
- Deep review on 27 September 2026 withheld a new Alt-self friendly-first variant because self eligibility remains unproven. Use an explicit intended recipient and verify it before the separate Holy Shock press.
