Requirements

  • Dispel Magic learned; source first-learning level 18. Each action needs its own learned spell.

Known limitations

  • Researched design, not tested in the Forever client. Beta names, requirements and behavior may change.
  • English spell names only. Unqualified casts use the learned rank selected by the client; reference spell IDs do not force rank 1.
  • The first matching branch wins. An out-of-range, obstructed, unlearned or otherwise unusable helpful action does not fall through to the hostile action. Cooldown or resource failure never chooses another spell.
  • Keep Alt plus this key free of conflicting bindings. Alt explicitly selects yourself even with an enemy selected.
  • A living friendly mouseover takes priority over your selected enemy. Move the cursor off friendly units and frames when you intend to use the hostile action.
  • Enemy mouseover cannot redirect the hostile action. No target-of-target branch, automatic self fallback, retargeting or lowest-health selection is included.
  • Dead mouseover units are skipped, so a living selected enemy can still receive the hostile action. With no matching living recipient and no Alt, no spell is selected.
  • One press attempts one spell. No rotation, proc detection, cooldown fallback, /stopcasting or explicit /startattack is included. Normal cast and channel interactions still apply.
  • This is cleanse/purge utility, not healing or direct damage. It does not detect dispellable effects or choose which effect to remove.
  • Unlike the existing dual Dispel Magic macro, this variant ignores enemy mouseover and gives the friendly current target priority.
  • Keep a dedicated purge or cleanse when timing matters: a friendly mouseover always selects that recipient.
  • No channel guard or Shadowform cancellation is included; verify utility availability in the client.

Notes

  • Keep these paired abilities in the same positions across this class's three specs. Add optional talent keys separately instead of remapping a shared pair.
  • Pairings are Allegedly Skilled recommendations for predictable bindings, not measured damage, healing or mana optima. Sharing a key grants no mechanical bonus and does not cast both spells.
  • All new hybrid keys use Alt self, living friendly mouseover, living friendly selected target, then living hostile selected target. Choose the question-mark icon for a paired key and verify its tooltip in the client.
  • Source first-learning levels and actual talent allocations are distinct requirements; neither a preferred spec label nor extra Legacy points prove spell acquisition.
  • Ability metadata adapted from Chris Baldwin / Talents Forever, https://talentsforever.com, CC BY 4.0. Macro designs and pairing recommendations are original Allegedly Skilled work.
  • Use as a separate utility position without replacing the shared heal/damage pairs. One sourced spell natively supports both allegiances.
