Spell Lock Rank 1: lower pet-mana interrupt
Ask your Felhunter to interrupt your current enemy with Rank 1 Spell Lock. It costs less pet mana, but the source gives a six-second school lockout instead of Rank 2's eight seconds.
This macro is based on research and still needs testing in game. Check the requirements and known limits before trying it.

Targeting and features

Pet
Requirements
- A summoned, living Felhunter with Spell Lock Rank 1 trained and available. The source records pet training level 36; Rank 1 does not mean character level 1.
- Confirm that Rank 1 remains available to your Felhunter after learning higher ranks; the macro does not replace pet training or fall back to Rank 2.
- A living hostile current target, enough Felhunter mana, and a ready pet cooldown.
Known limitations
- Research-supported beta design; no recorded Forever client macro tests. Verify pet rank availability, the explicit Rank 1 syntax, actual pet cost and interrupt result on your build. English spell and rank names need localization on other clients.
- This spends Felhunter mana, not player mana. The source lists 120 pet mana for Rank 1 versus 200 for Rank 2 before modifiers; live costs may differ.
- Rank 1 sacrifices school-lockout duration: six seconds rather than Rank 2's eight. Both source records list a three-second silence. Do not treat the ranks as equivalent or assume a mana saving is always worth this tradeoff.
- The Felhunter must be alive, in its own range and line of sight, with sufficient mana and a ready cooldown. Another demon cannot use this command.
- There is no /stopcasting or mouseover branch. The macro leaves your cast or channel alone, does not detect an interruptible cast, and never automatically selects another enemy.
Notes
- An optional pet-resource alternative; the existing unqualified mouseover Spell Lock macro is preserved. The explicit Rank 1 body suffix requests the sourced lower rank when it is available.
